It recognises both quality and diversity in the wines selected for this award. Previous WSAA winners have gained a distinctive edge over their competitors, and have enjoyed great success in Asia.
Organised since 2004, WSAA is the platform that:
| |

• |
Profiles international wines to the dynamic Asian market |

Benefits
Wine Style Asia Award 2010 serves as a good reference for Asian consumers in the following key areas:
| |
• |
Quality wines that have passed through grueling tests of Asian and International judges; |
| |
• |
Recognition of diversity and uniqueness of the different wine regions; |
| |
• |
Though the tastings are blind, wines of the same price ranges, same varietals and same regions will be judged together, thus giving all wines an equal chance of winning a medal. |

The wine is commanding and ripe but not over extracted. Sumptuous flavours of strawberries and cherries coat the tongue, but the finish still holds our signature smoke and clove; it perfectly complements grilled cornmeal crusted quail or a wild mushroom pizza. |

Good balance of tropical fruits and citrus fruits on the palate. Honeydew melon and mango are complemented by toasty oak and a buttery creaminess. A tight acid backbone with good fruit length will give longevity to the wine and careful cellaring should see it drinking well for a good number of years. |

Bouquet – Fresh berry fruit aromas with hints of flint, spice and white pepper. Palate – Soft, round and spicy. Medium bodied, with gentle mouth-coating tannins. General – An early harvest brought a low yield of premium quality fruit which, nurtured for 18 months in a combination of new French and aged American oak, has great elegance and length. The dominant berry fruit will see it develop beautifully into the future.

Deep dark red cherry colour with a violent rim. On the nose, there are attractive wild black berry fruit with oaky aromas and balsamic hints. Spicy notes, coffee, cacao and black tea with some mineral touches. Powerful and opulent on the palate, there are nice tannins and an excellent backbone. Golden yellow with some green tinge. Floral, spicy and tropical fruit aromas. Intense and luscious palate with a lively lift.
One of the coolest years in the history of our winery. Great varietal flavour and wonderful balance. The season was relatively dry but at the end of the season we had just enough moisture to encourage the onset of botrytis.
